  1. Thanks for the info 1216! Interesting, very interesting!
  2. Who do the orange and grey centre-cab diesels belong to? Look like former DR class 203/204 to me. Lots seem to be springing up with track maintainence companies along with ex DB V100's. (I'd spotted this pair too and had taken a screen shot to load here and ask the question!)
  3. Shame they're are all out of service. I always rather liked these locos, a sort of link between the old and new generations of German locos. Thanks for the answer.
  4. I believe (from another thread on here) John has given up on the P.O.Box now. His home address is: J. Talbot 10 St. Dunstans Close Battenhall Worcester WR5 2A I rather fancy a go at an FNA too so will be enquiring about the possibility of another batch too. Anthony
  5. Interesting to see a production series 120 being used for testing. Do you know if any of the prototype 120 series (120 001 - 120 005) are still active?
  6. Me too please. I do find it frustrating when manufacturers of seemingly decent products like this hide away.
  7. As fantastic a job as Brian has done (as always!) those raised window frames has really put me off getting any JLTRT MK1s until they get it sorted out. Shame really as they seem to be a good way of adding coaching stock for those of us who don't have the soldering skills for the MMP MK1s (Sorry David, I just can't solder that well, as much as I'd love some!)
  8. 60015 worked to Norwich to collect stone wagons left but 66191 on Friday I believe. Then worked them back to Peak Forest. Sadly work meant I missed the whole thing!!
  9. A 60 seen at Bury St Edmunds on stone traffic is more likely to be a Mountsorrel to Barham (Just north of Ipswich) working or a working to the stone terminal (lose description for a concrete pad and a front loader!) in Bury itself.
  10. A welcome return of a Tug to Barham on Suffolk today in the shape of 60063 on 6L41 Mountsorrel - Barham
  11. It does look as though in the steel verus aluminium battle the steel (from the truck presumably) won! As mentioned above, I fair degree on luck involved there.
  12. Thanks Doug, will give that a whirl. Now to see something that isn't painted red please..........
  13. I have to admit its the best webcam I've found. It's obvious from your screen captures though I miss all the "good stuff"! How do you get those screen captures? I#m a complete numpty when it comes to anything PC related.
  14. Nice review. But ouch the cab on the DBmq776 looks like a total after thought! Asthetic design wasn't top of the brief with that one. A former DR design I guess? Never ceases to amaze me how many different designs of double deck stock there are in Germany. I'm most familiar with the Munich, Landshut, Muhldorf and Passau areas on Germany (I have family there) and the driving cars in use there are different again.
  15. Any more progress on the Western Dan? Would love to see how it's coming along. Anthony
  16. is off guinea pig hunting with his 4 y/o daughter!

  17. On the subject of overhauls, I would have thought while there is a downturn in traffic starting overhauls on the earliest of the DBS 66s would make sense. The 66s are the "core" of the DBS fleet and will be for some time ( I assume!). Maybe as they are leased rather than owned the idea is just to run them into the ground and hand them back to the leasing company as they drop?? Perhaps that way DBS can just then lease a newer batch of whatever is available at the time? As a side thought, who is responsable for the costs of a major overhaul on something like the DBS 66 fleet? DBS or the owning lease company? Anthony
