  1. And the new extension boards are 9'-0"radius on the inner track. By the time it travels through the workshop it will be another 30'-0" before we reach the cassette roads & turntable. Col.

  3. Hi JB and all who are interested in this life long project, although I think it may be quite a few lifes ( lives ? ). As JB mentions the extension is on its way, but work still continues on the trackwork.We have recently started to fit the scale stretcher bars to some of the switch blades in the goods yard. These are cast brass,insulated at one end, and are of the early round bar type. Our thinking being that the earlier equipment would have survived from pre- group days into the 1940s in the yards, but the main line sections, up and down roads, would have been replaced with the later flat bar type and these we are currently working on developing. Hey JB, were you laying with your stomach on the track and your chin in the ballast when you took the video's.
