Suspect that you are looking at the other side of the loco - which didnt appear to have carried a scotty dog - see here. Note that both 55 and 63 were involved with the SRPS Class 27 Farewell tour and have ended up stacked adjacent at Berry's.

thanks for that shot bruce,i took another photo of 27055 on the same day but of the other side as she was coming into edinburgh which shows it having a scotty dog on that side to.

while looking through my old photos i came across these two shots of 27026 at perth and 27055 at edinburgh

dint think to much of it till i opened another album and saw this shot taken many years later at vic berrys with 27026 sitting on top of 27055

nice to find early in the morning that an Ethel is on the front of this Glasgow to fort william train

managed to chase 44932 from fortwilliam to malaig.took this shot from a moving car

carnt remember where this shot of 37417 was exept it was some where north of inverness july 86

for a large amount of money you could tour Scotland for a week staying on Bord this train

perhaps somebody knows about this working of 47640 at Glasgow it certainly had a big enough head board
