    60059 worked 6Z40 Milford - Warrington today. And yes, 4 more HTAs have recently been fitted with buffers for the restart of traffic from LBT. The original 6 conversions are now in use on the New Cumnock to Earles coal.

    It's had a constant supply, just not coming from Liverpool (and therefore not needing a 59 or 60) since about April.

    Coal doesn't restart until next Thursday, and then it's more likely to be 59203 than a Class 60.

    There were about half a dozen Prestwins sat in the scrapyard next to St Helens Junction station in the mid 1980s. Sodium Tripolyphosphate from Corkickle to Port Sunlight and Warrington was one traffic flow until replaced by PCAs.

    There were 3 60s through Scunthorpe yesterday afternoon: 60040 on 6E32 Preston - Lindsey empty bitumen 60009 on 6D49 Ferrybridge - Lindsey empty heavy fuel oil 60011 on 6D80 Neville Hill - Lindsey empty traction fuel Add to that 60010 some time later on the return Jarrow tanks.

    Not exactly. Fastline never had regular work from LBT to Ratcliffe. The LBT - Ironbridge flow has not yet restarted with any operator, although DBS ran a train to Ironbridge last weekend for a weights & measures test.

    Runs every Friday Mike. It arrives at about 0500 with the loaded train, the empties depart Seaforth any time between 1500 and 1600.
