  1. I have a Drs class 37 sound fitted. When pulling away it doesn't 'thrash' the motor just cuts in and out as if coasting at low speed until it gets to a certain point and Motor stays on constantly. This still happens with heavy load set. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong and that there is nothing wrong with it.
  2. I have just fitted a Dapol imperium 21 pin MTC decoder to a class 122. However F3 doesn't work the interior lights as it should. I understand this is not an uncommon problem but I have used the recommended Dapol decoder which I understand should work. The interior lights worked fine on analogue so I'm assuming it's not a fault with the loco. As the cab lights work I'm also assuming that it isn't a problem with the connection between the body and the chassis. I am using elink and railmaster, could this be the reason? Was wondering if anyone else had F3 working with this combination? Anyway any help or suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
  3. Thank you both. Yes I did numerous resets as I made various alterations to the cv's. It looks like it is an issue with the imperium decoder because today I've fitted a Bachmann one which I think is a zimo and it works lovely. It doesn't like some of the insulfrog points I have but they're being changed for electrofrog soon.
  4. Hi Everyone, I've just bought a Bachmann Class 03. Works perfectly on analogue i.e. pulls away lovely and slowly and sustains lovely slow speed as you would expect. I've installed a Dapol Imperium 2 Next 18 decoder which I already had (doing a factory reset first) and the loco pulls away like a jack rabbit and won't sustain a slow speed either. I've played with a few CV's - start voltage, back EMF but don't really know enough. Is it a case of changing a CV? if so which one(s)? or do I need to invest in a better decoder? Thanks Ian
