As part of the gauge O guilds new modular exhibition layout I’m going to do a 12’ section of the Dawlish sea wall. Hopefully improving on my last example 
Mermaid cove.  
the plan is that the guild supply the fiddle yard and curved sections with differ t groups either supplying one 24’ scenic section or two groups each supplying two 12’ sections.

Last two from Pontycwm,  I’llbe delivering this to my customer next week. Next project is the KESR diorama

Taken this morning up the mountain 

The modelling side of Pontycwm is just about complete, tomorrow I plan to get some outdoor shots with a nicer backdrop. Then it’s fascia painting and lamp wiring prior to delivery next week.

Not that I feel you need much encouragement to do a depot diorama but....!

Actually I’m leaning more towards a GWR station,  I’ve not done one yet and there’s some lovely kits from Intentio and Monks gate that I’ve got an eye on. 

Guttering now complete on all buildings and a coat of paint applied, it will all need doing again before I can finally fix the buildings in place. 
Shed roof complete including vents and lead flashing, barge boards on and painted.  
We are very much on the home stretch now.  
ModelU chimneys on the office building as well.

Good news is I only need 5 more trees to complete it 

Fencing and hedge rows to complete, plus an ATC ramp by the Distant signal 

St stephens assembled in its entirety today for the first time 

The new show display is complete and ready for its first outing, I can conveniently store Grimsby underneath as I’m delivering it the same weekend.  I’ll leave the plant at home

The last of the signalling now in place, you can just make out the white painted sighting panel on Teignton lane bridge 

The Torcombe branch from the back of the layout nicely framed by a pair of Scots pines. 
I’ve made up a small retaining wall as the signal post was close to embankment edge. 

More scenic work today including more tree planting and grass layering. 

The Cornish Riviera drifts towards Paddington at Westbourne bridge.

Arriving this morning only a week after ordering are the footbridge steps for Canton from York model making. Laser cut out of styrene and assembled in 10 minutes with EMA. The little building underneath is from Railway Laser Lines and is actually based on a building that was at Canton.  It’s not 💯 for this location but it’s fits just right. No painting today as it’s ☔️ again !
