  1. The vegetation has took hold and is appearing everywhere,carnt wait for wigan,,got a long shopping list
  2. Cheers guys,,,expo definately has given me the interest again,just been to local model shop,waltons,to pick up some bags of foliage,carnt wait for wigan exhibition now,,already made up a shopping list☺
  3. Well after over 6 months of not doing anything on the layout,i went to expo at weekend,and its given me the bug to carry on with it!!!!!

  5. Well cudnt resist buying this 37, although not really suited to my layout, im havin thoughts of doing a urban layout or a highland one next
  6. Had a running session today. With my 8 year old son driving;not the best of pictures taken on my phone
  7. Got a bit more done today,, have got some more pictures to upload but for some reason they keep going upside down when I try to post them up!!!!!

Cheers guys for the comments, well went and done it, ordered the class 66 ews weatherd, pick it up week on monday,, xmas present to myself, did a bit on the culvert, pictures prob not the best, taken on mobile phone,, plenty left to keep me busy over xmas, first scratchbuilt factory ive ever made completed,, think its turned out not to bad
  9. Got a bit more done, more fencing has gone up and another building, starting on the culvert next,, unless I get dragged out xmas shopping, but then I could pop into the local model shop and buy the ews class 66 thats in there!

This is my first attempt at building a layout, its n gauge ,5ft long and 1ft wide, after going to lots of exhibitions I thought why not have a go at building one myself, its going to be a industrial based modern layout, im just enjoying doing it and adding bits that I think look right to me, any suggestions or advice most welcome, thanks
  12. coach bogie,cracking picture that,,,the area around there was where i used to watch endless freight trains passing through,the white house used to be at the side of brookes drive bridge,sadly no longer there,want to do a model of this stretch off line,used to be a very busy line,thanks
  13. this is an intresting thread,i live in timperley and in the late 70s and early 80s the line near skelton junction was always busy with endless freight trains,used to watch them go by between the brooks drive bridge and shafesbury avenue bridge,spent many hours there,does anyone have any photos from this area,especially the white house that used to be at the side of brooks drive bridge? now long gone,would like to make a model of this area,but sadly never owned a camera all them years ago,could hear the peaks gunning if through this section from where i lived,,awesome,,thanks
