  1. That RMS Locotec one looks very good.

I would be interested in a plain white one, as I think one in a yellow Corus livery, like the 20's were in, would look good pottering round in my steel yard.

Looks like I'm going to have to rejoin the NGS. Can orders be taken at Glasgow show at the end of Feb?

  2. Hi Dave.

Do you still plan to release the OO Gauge Raven Q6 since Hornbys model is already out?

    Cheers, Ryan

This was cancelled when Hornby announced theirs and showed off the prototype model, way back in November 2015.

  3. There is the PG Models vehicles which also provide some weight to the wagons.

You will need to put them on a diet to try and slim the weight down, the Chassis and hull areas can have quite a good amount removed. as it is on the bottoms and covered by tracks, if you pick the right models, it is well hidden. I will see if I can find pictures of any of my Large tanks I did to run on mine.

  4. 325 - we have been thinking about how we could use the Mk3 tooling for future projects (and the 325 is definitely something we have talked about and would fit with our WCML theme!), but that is something for the future!

    Cheers, Mike

    Mike,

What have I told you about choosing things that you want.

It's got to stop, all this overtime to buy the models you want, and by extension, I need, is killing me!

  5. Managed to catch this as it went through Oxford Parkway ready for naming at Oxford.

68010 with covered over nameplates. It was revealed earlier today and has been named 'Oxford Flyer'.

Didn't manage to get a picture of the uncovered plates as it hadn't returned before I left. I'm sure there will be some pictures of the actual plates before too long.

  6. I was never happy with the ally channel option, especially when on my first trip out all of the servos on the bottom board fell out, then this popped up in my Facebook feed.

    http://www.alurailtech.co.uk/home.html

An aluminium bracket that the servo bolts on to for £2.50. Not the cheapest option but works out a cheaper option than trying to produce my own 3D printed thing. It also had channels to locate the micro-switches for throwing frogs or signals.

No connection other than a happy punter.

Was a bit gutted that after having a chat to Dave yesterday, he said I couldn't have my relay driver board because he had sold so many of them. Just before he left he threw an extra box of them in the car but said he didn't expect to sell that many. I knew I should have pre ordered them. It is due to be posted out today so can't complain really.

  7. That would have been one of the early shows it went out to. Kidderminster in March 1996 was first. Its not doing too badly for an old timer!

Im not there on Saturday, only Sunday this year as too many members wanted to man the stand unlike every other year.

the 323 will get done at some stage, just got to build my currage for all of those curved lines around the cab and doors and windows.

  8. Hi Alistair,

I absolutely love Kinlet wharf with its superb scenery and especially the hand made OHLE. I first saw the experimental catenary in Railway Modeller on the Lowes Hill Marina layout. Can't remember who wrote the article though. That was a great layout too.

I'm very much a newbie to airbrushing and there's nothing like throwing yourself into the deep end with NSE livery!

    Best regards,

    Jeremy

I started with the much simpler DRS livery. Looking at the 323 bodyshells that I have, that are to go into London Midland livery and quite frankly it scares me!

You need to get your Wharf fix in quickly. It's officially only got 2 shows left before it is retired. However this was the plan with having a new layout ready but that is still a long way off. So it might be out be out again.

Next show is Corsham (I think, can't find my diary) in April and it's 20 year return to Warley in November.

  9. great job on that paint work. Are you sure you've not done it before?

Kinlet Wharf is ready to be connected not quite sure your 2016 standard 2mmFS will match to our 1993 trackwork with pizza cutter scale pointwork :)
