      Just seen it passing my place (leaning out of my front room window) but can't help thinking the diesel on the back was doing a lot of the work...

      It was delayed leaving H/H and got stuck behind a Brighton stopper... so was hardly shifting when it passed Wivelsfield. Shame. I think the 47 was ticking over -producing carriage heat ? - but there wasn't much in teh way of grunt from it as it passed us.

      Apparently it had path problems coming out of Three Bridges and arrived at Haywards Heath around the time it was due to depart.
