  7. Wow! as usual Jon. How about doing a thread on your field trips explaining in more detail how you create these fantastic pictures. I'am sure I'm not the only one who would love to learn how to take better pics like these.

  9. Nice Ian. Sherwood Models did some silmilar ltd edition wagons a few years back if i remember .( Just looking on thier website looks like theve got some for HJ Redgate appropriate name)
  10. Been to the shed and connected the meter up, ohms was 003 and 13.8 on v on one of the tracks. the other which i new was dodgy but just wanted proof showed 1 ohm and 0 on volts. Thanks very much for all the help it will make wiring up much easier now i know almost what i am doing . Tom
  11. Right getting more confused now, below is very basic wiring diagram where do i place meter probes to check if connections are ok and what setting?
  12. ok i think i get you. using dcc theres no way of checking for a bad joint then?
  13. Ok I am total duffer when it comes to electrics. Now that I have started wiring my layout I want to test my connections. Using one of those cheep test meters with a dial in the middle, what do i set it on when i want to check each track? Thanks Tom
