Morning all. Not a great nights sleep thanks to various pyrotechnics which finished at about 02:30.

Heading out in a while for some photography (nothing rail related) which is one of the hobbies that I've neglected over the last couple of years.

Morning all. A lousy nights sleep thanks to a neighbour leaving a heavy back gate unlocked. I lost count of the number of times the sound of it closing reverberated around the house.

A wet and windy day but there aren't any plans to venture out into it.

A day of not doing a lot is planned.

Mountain of ironing turned into a small hill.

This morning I was surprised by Amazon.

I ordered a new airbrush and portable spray booth on Tuesday at a considerable discount and they gave me a delivery date of Tuesday 2nd January.

Imagine my shock and surprise when the doorbell went and both were delivered.

Time to set it all up.

Somehow I managed to get the shopping done between downpours although the wind is definitely gusting.

Some shopping to be done in a while which means fighting the traffic.

No modelling achieved to day. I did however start to deal with the mountain of model railway magazines.

So far a small percentage have been gone through, articles that interest me or have techniques removed and then scanned. It's amazing how quickly the pile shrinks.

A bit of modelling tonight while listening to more music.

Morning all. A chilly start to the day and it's not expected to get much warmer.

There are no plans to venture out today however tomorrow might be a different matter.

The kit from yesterday is being put to one side while I get on with some of my own modelling. I may go back to it on Saturday.

I had that when it was an Airfix kit when I was a child. Would it still be the original mould?

It certainly looks bad enough to be from the original.

I've spent most of the day modelling fighting with a Dapol Country Inn kit for a friend of the family. It's taken most of the day just to clean up the windows so that they look half decent.

An evening away from the workbench and I may carry on with the kit tomorrow. At least it gave me a reason not to venture outside.
