    HAHAHAHAHA, its alive! my first hardwire DCC conversion turned a wheel today.

      I am too nervous to start hard wiring my decoders in to start with so the first of mine is going to a pro. However in the future I want to have a go at doing it myself. I will be interested to see how it goes. Did you use a Gaugemaster decoder?

    I hate blood tests. Last I checked there was definitely blood in me, and I'm happy for it to remain there.

      About 2 years ago I had to give regular samples of blood for testing, one of the nurses had a tourniquet with vampires pictured on it which I always thought was quite sinister!

    £110 for a sound decoder. Is that worth it? It is hard to find and I am wondering how available it is. Difficult decisions!

    An ebay retailer is refusing to refund me the return postage for an item he sent me which was WRONG! Grrrr

      Thanks for the help. I have already had the replacement item and it was a Buy It Now item which stated (in French) that if it was not as described he would pay for the return postage. I have opened a dispute but I am not too hopeful! Thanks again

      Sorry to hear about that. My father had a heart attack just before last Christmas. The good news is that with modern medicine he is actually healthier now than he was before...

      Measuring up for a future project (probably using lasers or the like). Perhaps an unannounced model? Perhaps even one that came from the list of models you asked us to compile as a "wish list". Perhaps the 323 or 158/159!
