She and her group played at a friends wedding a year or two ago. Unfortunately we didn't pursue an acquaintance. I've noticed that lots of the folk in Wales seem to speak with a Welsh accent. -
Just had a stupid 'phone call. "I'm from the Police. We are doing a satisfaction survey" Phone down! Did the 1471 which gave a South Wales number. Rang contact in North Wales Police and it was genuine! But they are a Company doing the survey on behalf of the Police. Silly b*ggers.

A certain amount of seasonal clog popping is in progress. Unfortunately MiL looks ready to join in. A somewhat fraught atmosphere at Chez DD at the moment.

Here you go, BoD. Picture one is my usual view from the studio. Version two taken this morning. 8" of laying snow and it's still falling. Traffic chaos. Gritter fell off the road. A55 has been closed but may be open again.

Six inches of laying snow on top of ice and a blizzard is raging. The A55 'expressway' has been closed. A gritting lorry has overturned among the multitude of vehicle shunts. Roll on Summer.

As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted : They also are amenable to growth of moss which makes them look better. Unfortunately the gardener pressure washed mine and took the moss off about two weeks ago.

The bricks make very good edging for flower beds if concreted in.

The plot thickens. Various 'Electrical' folk have 'phoned to say they will be here first thing Monday. Meanwhile, an hour ago a huge vehicle arrived with another cooker. Either they have little faith in their products and have sent a spare or have duplicated the order. I pointed out that I had already had (and installed) a cooker and the two delivery men sighed and wearily loaded it back on the truck. Helpfully, they told me that I "Shouldn't have said anything".

Apparently the shower in the wet room has come out in sympathy and went kaput this morning. Had similar problems a few years back when the supply went neutral live and took out the dishwasher.. Others were worse off - underfloor heating being an example. Cost the Supplier a huge amount. Awaiting the arrival of someone who knows what they are doing.

Installed new cooker. Only took two hours. The cooker being replaced is a free standing type. Of course, a vent at the back conflicted with the site of the wall box so it had to be moved. Just accomplished this and, for reasons which are unclear (and I hope unrelated) the microwave burst into flames. Ordered new microwave. The pine assembly kit for the chest of drawers is due to be delivered shortly. I may be some time.
