Hi Guys
Thanks for the positive comments I always work from photos and take as much weathering off as I put on!
Nick- The 50 isn't mine, mores the pity!! It's a fellow exhibitors I just got my hands in it!!! But yes I would replace the louvres, cab windows and grill!!! I know Simon speaks with Brian at Shawplan so this might get retrospectively done!!! I'm in the middle of correcting a Hornby grid with extreme etchings but a bit aprehensive about spraying the loco as the grills are so fine!!! I'll get this weekends out the way and then post the progress as a blog along with a couple of other projects including the sound and light 08!!!

Hi James
I'm exactly the same with Midlands based layout but as we're looking at a layout based on Stranraer- who knows???

Don't really need anything else Nick but I'd love it as a app with a little RMweb button on myain screen! Just because I could!!! The same as the Trainline app and Sky Sports news which are slimmed down versions of the main sight but load quicker with the most used bits on!

Hi jim
Saw Moor Street was there and wondered if you'd be going! Come and chat but let us get over the Satirday morning gremlins first though!!! No pressure now then!!!

Hi Peter
thanks for the comments - the parts crates are A1 models, a bit fiddly to solder together but well worth it when they're done! Can't remember how much they are but only a couple of quid a pack of 5 if I remember correctly! I've got a load more half done to go on the back of a Bedford TK as a delivery of parts includind brake shoes and coupling links!

To be honest it looks quite at home
Now all ya need with that fantastic weathering is a sound chip
Hi Josh
As a complete and utter blue diesel man I have to admit that I know what you mean! It doesn't look out of place at all and as the layout is fairly run down with no modern buildings perhaps we might exhibit it as a steam/diesel transition layout 1 day!!! Can you get a WD chip?

Dave

Thanks everyone for the kind words! The next 2 or 3 months should see a lot more detail work and a small 2 foot extension to the repair shed (I'm going to work with our local DCC wizzard Simon H -(Mscorn) to look at the possibility of a working overhead crane and then go to town on the interior) Then Tony Wright is coming up to photograph it, I'll scribble some words and then it should hit the magazine!

Dave
ps look out for the new club layout - currently name North Clydeside! If you like Blue/Railfreight Grey Diesel this will be right up your street
