  1. Thank you for the apology. As a Birmingham City fan, I thought 3 points were there for the taking. But the Liverpool scored first, that's when you believe the floodgates were going to open. But Blues showed resilience and also some fantastic footbal at times to go two one up. I could go into an Arsene Wenger style rant over the penalty, but I won't, as if you had said at the beginning of the season, a point at Anfield, I would have said thank you very much. The only thing that will get my back up over the incident is if we need two points at the end of the season to survive. Congratulations to all the non-league sides that are in the second round of the FA Cup. Could have been even more magical if Stourbridge had beaten Walsall, and they should've had least got a draw out the game, but nevermind that's football. Keep Right On (as we say in Birmingham).
  2. A couple of photos of the progress, as promised. Having major problems with Kadee Height at the moment, so any advice is gratefully received, as is any critism or advice. By the way the hoover needs to visit to tidy everything up. Cheers for now.
  3. A bit early I know but... Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Kim Wilde
  4. Fantastic work Claggy, you inspired me to move my layout the many miles up north. Keep up the good work.
  5. Been Around The World - East 17 (I'm sure my suggestions are getting worse).
  6. Ballasting work and bushes are appearing on the layout, and I promise some more photos later today. The only thing bothering me now is the capacity of the fiddle yard. I need to make room for a Deltic and 3 coaches, where at the moment I can only hold a deltic and 2 coaches. So a curved point, will be used to make on long siding along the back of the yard, and the 3 way point making up the other 3 sidings. I think that makes sense. With pay day looming another shopping list is being formulated, and I will get most of it before the Warley Exhibition, but if a bargain appears then who knows. More locos to enter the stable, and more scenic materials, and couple more buildings should do it. Any advice or critism welcome.
  7. How about the Pikestuff kits or the Scalescene Diesel Depot? Like what you're doing. Keep up the good work. Alex
  8. Someone managed to get some good shots of Tornado then. Mine were useless. Cracking shot of her coming up the bank.

    Nice one Andy.

    Alex

  9. How did your shots go with Tornado? Mine were useless.

  10. Midnight at the Oasis - Brand New Heavies
  11. Down Down, Deeper and Down - Status Quo
  12. Well with RMWeb down, and EBay short on bargains, I have carried on with the scenic side of the Tigh Charrann. Ballast is appearing as are bushes in strategic places. Although a long way off from complete, I should be able to get the ballasting completed by the end of this weekend. New building have also appeared in the form of the Bachmann Scenecraft Site Office, and Welded Tank from the Cement Works range. The Site Office will form the office unit for the fuel depot, and the Welded Tank will form a pair of Diesel Fuel Tanks. With the sound loco out of action at the moment, I will concentrate on scenery, and creaing as much as I can for the layout, and with this new blog business, updates will be more frequent than they were with the on the old forum, as I feel a Blog has be kept fresh. I will update with photographs later. Any advice or critism on work so far is gratefully received.
  13. Hammer Time - MC Hammer (Still have that on Vinyl somewhere )
  14. Any chance of the photos from the old forum being put up? *Ducks and runs for cover.
  15. I have tried to bring in some of the content from my layout thread on the old board, but it didn't work. So anyway a brief summary of the construction. Baseboards: Constructed by Grandad and I, using 5mm MDF, 2 x 1 for Legs and Strengthening, and Shelf Brackets for support. Track: Is all PECO Code 100, using concrete sleepers. All the points are insulfrog, and made live for dcc by using the Hornby DCC Electroclips. The hard standing area is constructed using card from used refill pads from work. Buildings: The station is the Hornby Great Waterton Station from the Thomas the Tank Engine range, as is the footbridge. The platforms are a Metcalfe Kit, Depot buildings to date are from Bachmann, and the Oil Unloading Depot is from Hornby Skaledale, as is the Overbridge, and Signal Box. Stock: Bachmann Class 37 with Sound, 2 x Bachmann Mark 1s (BCK and SK), Bachmann TTAs. The fleet will hopefully be expanded with the introduction of a Heljan 26 fitted with Sound, and an additional Bachmann 37 with Sound but with a Large Logo. Other stock to follow include GUV and NCX for parcels, another couple of TTAs, a Class 101, and of course the Hornby ODAs when they are released next year. Photos below:
