  1. Flangeway are listed on the Warley Show Trade list as DMB models, which is one of their two shops.
  2. Referee's should hold an interview at the end of the game and explain their decisions, before the managers can vent their opinions on the game. SAF was out of order with his comments. SAF, should take leaf out of Neil Warnocks book who won't say anything now about referees. Take our manager Alex McLeish, handled his interview over that outrageous penalty on Monday with perfect decorum. He didn't rant or rave about it in public, but just plainly said "if he looks back at the penalty, he will realise he got the decision wrong". Questioning someones ability to the job in public is uncalled for. SAF ought to take up his concerns with proper authorities, and not use Sky Sports to bring them up. The RESPECT campaign the FA are running clearly left it's mark with SAF. So along with dealing with managers comments on Refs, can we get something done about the cheats in the game?
  3. It was reported that the Banks wanted to pull the debt from Liverpool earlier this year, which IIRC is in the region ??160 million. But stopped short of calling in the receivers, as they were concerned about attacks on their staff and branches. But talking to an extremely concerned Liverpool season ticket holder on Sunday, the banks could pull the plug if Liverpool fail to make it through the group stages of the Champions League. He has also said that everyone at the club wants Rafa sacked, but the can't afford to sack him. It would be interesting to see what happens to them, if they did go into receivership. Would they get the 10 point deduction like everyone else?
  4. While I disagree with Rangers and Celtic being allowed into the Premier League, they should enter the english league through a play off to enter the Blue Square Premier IMO. But I do agree that something needs to be done about it. Smaller teams, ie Bolton, Wigan, tenth place is the best they can hope for. Villa for example Europa League place, but they can't take the competition seriously. Blues 17th is considered a good season. Where as the Championship, and football league, it is a lot more competitive, and there is more to play for. The best thing in my opinion would be to start this European Super League, but set requirements on the clubs, for example financial security, not just the biggest stadium, and the best teams, and the make the premier league more competitive by lowering the prize fund. This will make things more competitive, and more teams will have more to play for. Which should improve the games, and entertainment for the fans. With regard to losing a major team due to finance reasons, we could Liverpool do that sooner than you think.
  5. Thank you for the apology. As a Birmingham City fan, I thought 3 points were there for the taking. But the Liverpool scored first, that's when you believe the floodgates were going to open. But Blues showed resilience and also some fantastic footbal at times to go two one up. I could go into an Arsene Wenger style rant over the penalty, but I won't, as if you had said at the beginning of the season, a point at Anfield, I would have said thank you very much. The only thing that will get my back up over the incident is if we need two points at the end of the season to survive. Congratulations to all the non-league sides that are in the second round of the FA Cup. Could have been even more magical if Stourbridge had beaten Walsall, and they should've had least got a draw out the game, but nevermind that's football. Keep Right On (as we say in Birmingham).
  6. A couple of photos of the progress, as promised. Having major problems with Kadee Height at the moment, so any advice is gratefully received, as is any critism or advice. By the way the hoover needs to visit to tidy everything up. Cheers for now.
  7. A bit early I know but... Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Kim Wilde
  8. Fantastic work Claggy, you inspired me to move my layout the many miles up north. Keep up the good work.
  9. Been Around The World - East 17 (I'm sure my suggestions are getting worse).
  10. Ballasting work and bushes are appearing on the layout, and I promise some more photos later today. The only thing bothering me now is the capacity of the fiddle yard. I need to make room for a Deltic and 3 coaches, where at the moment I can only hold a deltic and 2 coaches. So a curved point, will be used to make on long siding along the back of the yard, and the 3 way point making up the other 3 sidings. I think that makes sense. With pay day looming another shopping list is being formulated, and I will get most of it before the Warley Exhibition, but if a bargain appears then who knows. More locos to enter the stable, and more scenic materials, and couple more buildings should do it. Any advice or critism welcome.
  11. How about the Pikestuff kits or the Scalescene Diesel Depot? Like what you're doing. Keep up the good work. Alex
  12. Someone managed to get some good shots of Tornado then. Mine were useless. Cracking shot of her coming up the bank.

    Nice one Andy.

    Alex

  13. How did your shots go with Tornado? Mine were useless.

  14. Midnight at the Oasis - Brand New Heavies
  15. Down Down, Deeper and Down - Status Quo
  16. Well with RMWeb down, and EBay short on bargains, I have carried on with the scenic side of the Tigh Charrann. Ballast is appearing as are bushes in strategic places. Although a long way off from complete, I should be able to get the ballasting completed by the end of this weekend. New building have also appeared in the form of the Bachmann Scenecraft Site Office, and Welded Tank from the Cement Works range. The Site Office will form the office unit for the fuel depot, and the Welded Tank will form a pair of Diesel Fuel Tanks. With the sound loco out of action at the moment, I will concentrate on scenery, and creaing as much as I can for the layout, and with this new blog business, updates will be more frequent than they were with the on the old forum, as I feel a Blog has be kept fresh. I will update with photographs later. Any advice or critism on work so far is gratefully received.
