I think you are just trying to code a decoder in a non motored model, am I correct?
If so just code it together with any other motored model at the same time to the address you want the non motored to be. Then remove the non motored and code the motored model you used back to its original address. All the CV settings would remain set as they are saved on the decoder.
You are correct Andy. I took the motor out as it needs to be completely free running as I intend to just add it when double heading. On the plus side because it’s an old Lima there is plenty of room for an EM2.

What sound decoder are you using?
More than likely a zimo chip with digitrains sounds.

Many thanks for the help I will source some bigger resistors.

I’m in the process of making a dummy class 27 with sound using a 21 pin socket. The question is can I fool the decoder to make it think that motor is connected so I can reprogram it. I have tried using some resistors but they get red hot to the point that the solder melts on the connections to said resistors.
I have put a meter across an old Hornby hst motor and that was around 80 ohms resistance.thanks in advance.

Thank you all so very much for the information. My apologies for the late response.

I have recently found a link to a triple grey class 08 at Edinburgh station. I’m trying to find some more info on this 08 including what the number is. I found out that it was roughly late 80s to early 90s

I’m n the process of taking some Bachmann mk2 aircons and reworking them as a set of Scotrail push pull rake. I’m after some info maybe pictures of the interiors . I have searched the web without any success. I would of thought that they would of been blue in 2nd and maybe orange like the mk3s but and info would be greatful.
Thanks in advance

As previously mentioned they were used on the diverts when Ipswich tunnel was closed. I have a pic somewhere and will try and dig it out.

Maybe you would consider doing the two that were based at Inverness. They were the ones with highland stags.

Can anyone point in the direction of a supplier of round buffers for a Bachmann class 37. I need to swap them out from oval to round. I believe they are 3.77mm wide. I would prefer metal ones if possible.
Thanks in advance

Many thanks Alex.
hi alex /
got my email last night and its all paid for. thanks for your assistance.

Many thanks Alex.If he ordered his before you then yes the system is working! If you haven't had the worldpay email in a couple of weeks, message me and I'll give you bacs details. A lot of the worldpay emails aren't getting through and I'm having to manually call the customers. So either way nobody will be missed unless they don't pick up the phone after a few attempts. Message me your details if you want and I'll check the order is present.
Another 100 ish have gone this week!

Correct - or at least as far as I know as I didn't compile the original database. We were accepting order forms at the Derby show in May last year and then after that following articles in the magazines we had further orders online via the website.
Our 'Web Wizard' set up an automated process that put the online orders into a spreadsheet but all the paper orders were added manually as and when time was available. This means that the list is not strictly in the order that they were received.
I am now working down that list sending out individual emails via Worldpay to every customer - again as and when time allows but I have been away for two consecutive weekends due to family weddings as I had hoped to have finished by now. We are then advised when the card payment has been processed and I pass the details to Alex who is sending them out - again in batches as and when time allows. The first delivery was by DPD but after some issues there we are now using Royal Mail second class - remember that as Bachmann put the price up we are now sending them post free at our expense.
Without knowing you full name, I can't say where you are on the list but you should be contacted by early next week to make payment.
Thanks for your support.
Mike
I fully appreciate that that it will take time and will be patient. Thanks for you help.

Afternoon.
Can someone please confirm that the orders are being processed in order that were received. I ask because a friend has already received his and he ordered his before me. I did receive both emails regarding the new data protection.
Thanks in advance

I must congratulate railtech again. With in three days of requesting some decals of a specific type Steve had them done for me. Top marks yet again.

Loved seeing the layout on Friday. It was great to see it in its reincarnated design. I must also say thanks for the wee chat with you to.

I must congratulate the organisers for another cracking show, ,loved Aberdeen Kirkwall and even managed a bargain from rails. Managed to get a Waverley for a friend and one for myself.
Just one obersvation and in no way an criticism was that model rail magazine were absent. But I’m guessing it’s a long way to come for them all.
Already looking forward to next year.

Thanks Archie. I’m looking forward to the show.Hoovernut,
Friday can be a lot busier than the Saturday or the Sunday. Whether you want to see the layouts with less of a crowd or to get into the trade stands more easily, you should find the Saturday or Sunday less busy. In fact when some of the traders, notable Squires, send out flyers for the show they do in fact mention that the Saturday and Sunday are less busy.
Of course if you are after a bargain on some particular item you could miss out by attending later. And of course this year, if you want one of the Limited Edition Class 47 locos they may well sell out on the Friday.
Whatever you decide I hope you thoroughly enjoy this year's show.

Hopefully when the hattons ltd edition with obs car comes out I should be able tomake a ease of 6. But that does depend on how long it will tale for them to turn up.

I wonder if someone may be able to assist me with a couple of Niggles with my two 37s. Firstly on my 37043 (sound fitted) I need to reduce the brightness on the dash lights and my thinking is that seeing that they are on a separate function I must be able to be adjusted by a CV setting.
Secondly my 37027 on analog. I’m finding that the marker and headlights are not illuminating until the power is turned up to at least 30% and are off before the loco comes to a stop , Strange? I have also had on a rare occasion where the cab light on the leading cab flashes like a disco light. And finally if I bring the loco to an abrupt stop all the marker lights on both ends illuminate. again strange.
I fully understand that sometimes things can and do go wrong but I wondered if I am the only one to have this problem.
thanks in advance.
