    Will later today (after a 12 hour shift) be attempting to remove a 3ft diameter loft header tank through an 18 inch wide loft inspection hatch. Now where's my saw?

      We left our tank in as we are at the end of the pipeline from Glasgow and now and again someone cuts through the water main somewhere in Glasgow and we're without mains water for a day or two so it's good to have a reserve.

      Ah, good thinking but mine has been isolated for 18 months and is empty and dry. It's also in the way if I need to change the smaller header for my soon installed replacement solid fuel boiler.
