    Was given a bottle of home brew 17 days ago which had been bottled that day. Will it be alright to drink tonight whilst watching the snooker?

      Depends on what it is (a wine kit, or completely made from scratch-fruit wines etc.) but I leave my home brews a good 6 months after bottling before drinking.
