  2. Lovely day to wait for the RAC... apparently they're on a four hour wait at the moment. Glad I'm indoors with a dead car rather than sitting in it in the middle of nowhere.

  3. This is Madness! I have lost a length of track from lifting it for cork to be laid - to relaying it in position after.

  6. wishes Ebay postage wasn't so expensive, when the postage is almost as much as the item, and you can walk into a shop and buy it for the same or less price, it's hardly a bargain any more is it?

Agreed - when I sell stuff on eBay I always use the kitchen scales to get the weight of the item. Then check with Royal Mail for the postage cost. I never charge through the nose for postage.

Sadly its a case of unscrupulous individuals and naked profiteering sadly.

  12. I have OO and N gauge trains, yet I still look longingly at O gauge, even though I don't have the money or space for such a venture.

Perhaps do what I did buy a wagon kit and give it a go. If you like it you can go on further and if not then its not much outlay and I am sure you could sell the kit onwards.

      Not this again. :D

Yep S&D is Stockton & Darlington, the acronym however is better known for the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway. Say S&D to nearly most people and you'll get the Somerset response. :D

I wonder if 'Southern' locos ran over the Stockton & Darlington line...
