I've asked this question as have been told not at the moment. Email Bachmann and show your interest on some and you never know.......
On another note, Baldwin No.778 and a Class D wagon were transported over from Barwell today ready for the Midland Railex. We couldn't resist pairing the consist up with Ashover No.4.

An update on my dodgy chassis. I've managed to get drive back on to one axle, however whilst is quite leading it chatters and grinds when the unpowered axle is taking lead. I'm stumped on what to do with it now other than to either sit it in a siding or dump the thing on ebay and get what I can. Ended up leaving the lights and circuit boards out. I'm quite patient when reassembling models however this one would have seem me throw it at the wall!

I've got a DCC sound Lima 47 (heavily detailed ad resprayed) and it runs better than my Bachmann one! Original Lima pancake too!

All the model torque motors were was a CD tray motor with mounting cradle and gear attached with a hefty profit margin slapped on top. The other ones suggested are just as good

Appears that the Mazak problem has spread further. I took apart a Hornby Bill and Toby (Thomas range) today to clean pickups/oil the bearings for a friend and the chassis blocks literally fell apart.

about £3.50 for a standard size chair at a scrap yard.

I've got one and it runs well. Bit light footed but there is plenty of room for lead sheet in them big side tanks which is what I've done with mine.

"Olivia Trains Class 73's
Due to the poor logging of Special Commission Class 73 at Dapol it has come to our attention that we have included a model in the 2014/15 brochure that had been allocated to Olivia Trains.
4D-006-007 will not now be produced for general release but has will be manufactured exclusively for Olivia Trains along with 73207 Gatwick Express ( County of East Sussex) and 73141 Charlotte inFirst Group GBRf Livery
see here for details www.oliviastrains.com/new-additions
Our apologies for this error and many thanks to Neil at Olivia Trains for his understanding
Dapol will be replace this model and will amend price lists appropriately. "

Sloppy writing for a supposedly professional company!

Well all I hope for is that I can use my modellers license as I have no use for one, yet I'm definitely having one!

Found on their shop site while looking for something else. Mixed livery rake ordered. Eagerly awaited. Anyone need any used Lima CCTs???

Can you not run the two powered units together? its a myth than DCC is needed for this as it can be done most satisfactory on DC.

Mine runs on romfords and is a lovely runner. Original Hornby chassis

Just been told by my supplier that they've had a very large box from Hornby arrive today and along with other stuff is 71000 and Sentinels
By supplier I mean the 47401 Project shop at Swanwick Junction.

Interesting how that chunk of bodyside attached to the cab has somehow "blown off"

I got one off ebay with the intention of repainting and detailing. It arrived in a rather more mint condition than described and I can't bring myself that so its running around the club layout in original condition. It runs forever and joins one of the many old bits of stock on the club layout (Dublo Castle, Coronation, 8F's. Triang L1, Brittania, 2 x Blue Pullmans)

Anyone had any gear mesh problems with their railbus? Mines ran ok for nearly a year but during a wheel cleaning session the other week I noticed one axle was only intermittently driving. The other isn't brilliant so its currently sat in bits in its box. After investigation it seams that the two halves of chassis that sandwiches the motor wasn't fully down. Having nipped up the screws, all this has done is strip the thread therefor the self tappers do nothing resulting in the motor having enough movement to stop drive to the axles. Once I've found enough bigger self tappers I'll have ago a reassembling to see if its repairable. I'm not looking forward to refitting all the electrics......

Ironically they've pictured D182 outside the Matthew Kirtley Building at Swanwick Junction for their class 45 picture when the loco is in fact a class 46

In the end after complaining to the ebay shop that even this one didn't run properly, they offered a partial refund which has paid for the wheelsets and a couple of other bits.
