  1. Have spoken to Chris at Silver Fox, they are to have a look at how these bogies are made and will be looking at modifying them, and got a complete refund, more than happy with the after service and hope future bogies are a better product.

  2. I've just spent £56 on replacement bogies for my Triang detailed Blue Pullman, plus £30 for a set of the recommended Hornby 14mm wheels, I have to say the bogies are awful quality, they are like the replica glue together bogies and were assembled prior to sending, the 8 coach bogies are too wide to accept the Hornby wheels and out of the 6 motor bogies only one is useable, the other 5 are all skewed and will require taking apart and reassembly if it doesn't render them useless.

  3. I have sent 6 emails within 2 months and had no reply.  I'm not knocking their/his work, I have had plenty of Southern Pride kits in the past, only in the last 12 months I have really struggled to get any response, I guess they must still be trading. I have sent another email via their website yesterday so will see what happens.

As an aside, does anyone know of any other companies that do OO clear sides for coaching stock?

  4. Has anyone tried to fit the TTS 9f decoder and speaker to the DCC ready Hornby railroad 9f non crosti model? the tender still has the old motor casing in it even though it loco drive, and the speaker supplied by Hornby is too big for the loco??

Anyone found a way around it?

  5. I don't have a Bachmann system myself, but looking at the instruction manual, you do have the option to write an address on the service track.  In general, writing the address on the service track (or on a layout with no other locomotive or accessory decoders connected) will overwrite any previously set address - there's no checking beforehand that the old address you've specified matches the one in the locomotive.  The Dynamis is asking you for an address so that it can update its own roster correctly.  I'd try adding a new locomotive to the roster with the default address (3), then tell the Dynamis to change the address of the locomotive using the service track - this will set the address on the locomotive and update the roster correctly.

Excellent, so how do I do that? I'm a bit thick.............

  6. I have recently bought a class 86 fitted with a 6 pin decoder but don't know what the address for the loco is, now on my old ez controller I could wipe the old address by holding down 3 and stop, then I could write a new address to the decoder. However I now have a dynamis controller and this doesn't seem to work.

What is the easiest way to write a new address to an unknown address decoder using bachmanns dynamis system......

Already had a search but most answers seem to be the 8 to cv8 thing but without the loco address i can't get into the decoder menu.

    All help appreciated, Cheers Steve.

  7. I know I didn't start this thread but feel my update is probably better placed here rather than starting a new thread.

I was unhappy with the Hornby coach as its far too big, so sourced a "Rocket" coach, which after modifying I felt was just too small, so my third option I think is just right.

It is a very much shortened Hornby clerestory coach. I have also shortened the well wagon as I felt that was to long too.
