  1. Have spoken to Chris at Silver Fox, they are to have a look at how these bogies are made and will be looking at modifying them, and got a complete refund, more than happy with the after service and hope future bogies are a better product.
  2. I've just spent £56 on replacement bogies for my Triang detailed Blue Pullman, plus £30 for a set of the recommended Hornby 14mm wheels, I have to say the bogies are awful quality, they are like the replica glue together bogies and were assembled prior to sending, the 8 coach bogies are too wide to accept the Hornby wheels and out of the 6 motor bogies only one is useable, the other 5 are all skewed and will require taking apart and reassembly if it doesn't render them useless.
  3. I have sent 6 emails within 2 months and had no reply. I'm not knocking their/his work, I have had plenty of Southern Pride kits in the past, only in the last 12 months I have really struggled to get any response, I guess they must still be trading. I have sent another email via their website yesterday so will see what happens. As an aside, does anyone know of any other companies that do OO clear sides for coaching stock?
  4. Just to resurrect this post, I've tried over the last 12 months to purchase some clear sides but to no avail, I can't get any reply now via email, are Southern Pride still trading?
  5. Has anyone tried to fit the TTS 9f decoder and speaker to the DCC ready Hornby railroad 9f non crosti model? the tender still has the old motor casing in it even though it loco drive, and the speaker supplied by Hornby is too big for the loco?? Anyone found a way around it?
  6. Some OO stuff would be great, I know Hereford models have done a few in the past but the Berry Wiggins wagon in OO would be great. Also possibly severn and wye buildings, such as the buildings at Parkend, Whitecroft and lydney ect, or the buildings at Tintern and St.Briavels........which would suit me a treat!!!
  7. Excellent, so how do I do that? I'm a bit thick.............
  8. I have recently bought a class 86 fitted with a 6 pin decoder but don't know what the address for the loco is, now on my old ez controller I could wipe the old address by holding down 3 and stop, then I could write a new address to the decoder. However I now have a dynamis controller and this doesn't seem to work. What is the easiest way to write a new address to an unknown address decoder using bachmanns dynamis system...... Already had a search but most answers seem to be the 8 to cv8 thing but without the loco address i can't get into the decoder menu. All help appreciated, Cheers Steve.
  9. Hi I'm only in Folkestone for the day and wondered if Hythe models was still open? If not are there any other good model shops nearish to Folkestone. Cheers steve
  10. Ah just noticed the Green pair are disc headcodes so may be a bit of a parp swapping the Chassis over with the lights ect?
  11. I have the blue one arriving this weekend and would be very interested in a swap with cash my chassis for yours of course if they are interchangeable. Was looking into a sound chip for mine but this could work out better. Steve.
  12. Hi, could anyone tell me wether these are 21 or 8 pin dcc, I'm looking into getting a sound chip ordered tonight but as the loco isn't here I can't tell... Cheers Steve.
  13. Cheers, must say its a sight easier to bash the well wagon than the tramway coach.......
  14. Bit more decorating done, still needs guy ropes and a chimney.
  15. I know I didn't start this thread but feel my update is probably better placed here rather than starting a new thread. I was unhappy with the Hornby coach as its far too big, so sourced a "Rocket" coach, which after modifying I felt was just too small, so my third option I think is just right. It is a very much shortened Hornby clerestory coach. I have also shortened the well wagon as I felt that was to long too.
  16. Here you go, there are also 1/72 scale kits from hasegawa. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lima-HO-Gauge-Golden-Series-Militarzug-Leopold-K5-Railway-Gun-Pack-/390683125477?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5af68766e5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hasegawa-1-72-20mm-Leopold-K5-E-Railway-Gun-/360768665188?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item53ff7cf664
  17. Lima built a German railgun in HO, "Leopold", came in a train set with two diesel locos and a couple of wagons.
  18. The last photo is of my rendering of Titfield on my preserved railway.
  19. This is my take on the "Thunderbolt", well the 14xx and wellwagon plus coach, I shortened a triang well for this.
  20. As I say I have used them in the past, both an EPB and VEP have been built from their kits. However I am looking into the Electra graphics overlays and figure the Southern Pride type clear sides would be ideal. I just wondered if anyone else produced them. As an aside I do feel Southern Pride do seem to shoot themselves in the foot with the way they trade.
  21. Does anyone know of any other companies that produce or sell the clear coach sides that Southern Pride use in their emu and mk1 coach kits. They list them on their site cheap as chips but I no longer have a cheque book and don't really like trading with someone I can only contact via mail. I have used them before but that was a long long time ago. Steve
