Time to give up. Scalescenes inspection pit slightly out of gauge... my fault. Three attempts to remedy have resulted in scrappage. Baseboard with hole cut for pit now shelved.

Now I is on holiday. Tonight, I is playing trains, cough; tomorrow, cough, I is making a baseboard, cough, and hopefully not having to talk, cough, too much, so that I can rest, cough, my throat.
