Thanks for the update. My problem is, I'm a member of the Dapol club, I ordered special editions models direct from Dapol in October 2020, to date my emails have been ignored and I haven't received a single piece of correspondence from Dapol, their is also no means I can find to comment via the Dapol club forum page. I suspect PP Performance is going to result in me cancelling my order, because I'm fed up being ignored. David

Doc, I recently acquired none of these kits for myself and your account of the challenges discovered will definitely prove useful. Would you happen to recall which parts from the kit you replaced and from where you obtained them? Thanks, it’s the digitrains app that I am referring to, I stand to be corrected but based on the information I have gleaned it looks like a better app the engine driver, I just can’t find a way to get the digitrains app to talk with the LNWI WiFi, any suggestions appreciated. David

So long as he has the sound I am looking for I wouldn't get my sound decoders from anyone other than youchoos, very good service and very helpful, two things I haven't found with some other more popular suppliers. As far as I am aware youchoos ship world wide. David

Thanks, Mr Soundguy did indeed produce the sound file for Dapol, unfortunately he produced it solely for Dapol so he's not able to help, I've had a good search but can't find anyone else producing Terrier sound files. Cheers David

The sound file on the digitrains decoder has a wee lisp in the chuff, it's a while since I've been on a Terrier so I'm not sure what is leaking, the sound would be fine if I only had one model but I presently have five with a plan for a couple more. Apart from DCC Supplies who only have the Terrier sound available on an esu decoder which they are charging £30+ more for, is there any other source for a Terrier sound? David

Has anyone tried removing the transfers successfully from the models tank sides? David

One of mine came with one of the couplings the wrong way up, simple enough to remedy but just as simple to get right, yes a P to accompany the Terriers would be nice. David

John Boyle formal owner of the 7mm scale decent models range sold his 7mm scale items to Alba Railway Models last year. The white metal casting recently released by the Caledonian Railway Association came from Alba Railway Models, the castings made from high quality white metal and so long as too much heat isn't used they will solder to brass quite easily using 100 degree solder. I'll confess I don't read postings on this forum except when sent a link so I am unclear of the protocol expected from suppliers, if I'm breaking protocol my apologies. If any one is looking for parts in 7mm scale from the previous John Boyle/Decent models range can I suggest contacting Alba Railway Models. David
