  1. I read with interest all the above and I have several TTS locos and have had no problem until this week with my MN so for others I post this note to share what I put on the ESU website today: My Loco does not work with ECoS2_update_4-2-2 Today I selected Loco SR MN 4-6-2 35023 Hornby R3382TTS Un-Rebuilt BRe Early Holland-Afrika Line which I had saved in my ESU Ecos50200 Loco list but no response. It had been a couple of months from when I last used her and she had always ran very well. I checked my other Hornby TTS locos which were releaed before the above loco and they still ran well. I then saw some web threads so I connected my JMRI and SPROG3 the loco worked very well with no problems. I then realised that the non functioning problem with the TTS MN loco had occurred after installing ECoS version ‘ECoS2_update_4-2-2’ in Jan 2018 which points to a problem with this version of software. The loco was great with all previous versions March 2017 when I got the Loco. You could say why use TTS decoders, well I have several Locksound and I use TTS as something different especially as the locos are great.
  2. Locos: R2920 Class B17/1 Sandringham 4-6-0 2800 'Sandringham' in LNER livery DCC Ready. R2922 Class B17/6 Sandringham 4-6-0 61650 'Grimsby Town' in BR late crest livery DCC Ready. & R2921 Thorpe Hall I have looked forward to these locos and their appearance and running is excellent. I always liked the original locos but these for a number of reasons are a lot better. I received them all in the last week in excellent outer packing but with all three I recieved them faulty. R2920 cab roof vent was loose in the box. I notice Hornby Jan2013 magazine thought it was modelled in open position - no missing. I then opened R2921 and soon noticed one of the tender water filler lids was missing. Fortunately I noticed it in the bottom of the box and as it was outside of the bubble wrap inner which implied it had been put in the box separately. Then with R2922 I noticed before removing loco from packaging was a foriegn item attached to the boiler top which looked like a handrail but did not come from the loco. Fortunately I always unpack in a tray to catch loose bits. I contacted Hornby but they say it is not their fault. So is anyone else having the problem? Now 3 out of three problems is very unlucky but I this week have had similar problems with Bachmann's MR Compunds which again are excellent locos. One had a whistle missing, the other incorrectly fitted pipework on boiler side.
