If that is the case, Redgate, it may well be so that the whole lot (boiler + firebox castings) fitted the Brit footplate casting?

The firebox castings for the DJH Duke are different than those for the DJH Brit, so I assume they got it right.

You could also look at a Hornby Cl 92 for your chassis. I'm muddling along building a dual-powered version based on two of these, with the trailing bogie replaced by a second powered one.
Anybody looking for a dummy (unpowered) EWS Class 92?? :-)

Another option to manage the "yellowing" is post exposure filtering.
Photoshop includes an option to apply the equivalent of colour correction filters to images - in your case varying degrees and densities of blue - which would tame the temperature colour cast.
