A very timely posting... our club exhibited at a local show today which has inspired me to look again at a simple N exhibition layout. I've been trying to come up with something that would fit on a single board, that would have a very simple sceniced portion (just two tracks running through the countryside, just like this) but with staging for numerous trains without handling.

A suggestion - curved crossovers hidden past the red lines would allow you to "self restage" by running from one staging yard to the other. And I very much prefer your concept with the visible portion cropped at the red lines!

Rich, I'm still interested in a set of the etches when they're available again. I missed them last time around.
