  1. if you want to do automatic uncoupling I would go for train controller I have achieved this easily

    take a look at my youtube videos on youtube at overdene station

    i  used digitrax stuff first off but have since changed to digikeijs dr5000

    i find it works much better at stopping correctly and is better for speed profiling

    if i can be of any more help just ask

    thanks

    Alan

  2. after stopping the loco it won't move again.

    all the sounds are working as if it were moving etc
    then if you keep trying it eventually moves
    ive had the motor out and all looks ok it turns freely etc
    any on had this problem before

  3. I fera that you chaps may be correct and that TC9 Gold is the route I would have to take as more explorinmg over the weekend has shown several aspects that are in Gold but not Silver - I find that every time I look at the manual there is a gold bar down the side of what I am looking at which start toi answer teh question of which version.

    What is holding me back is the time I have invested in iTrain which I know quite well now, that also unfortuinately means I also know the limittaions quite well (and the faults) hence the consideration of TC9, but at £500+ and then the new learning curve that is quite a lot to chew off, however the series of vids from Rudy will significantly flatten that learning curve. I am still not sure that the financial investment is warranted for a relatively small H0e layout - small compared to some HO layouts around, but large for narrow gauge and it is that narrow gauage challenge I have where sidings, passing loops and blocks are often close to the same size as the actual train traversing the track section.

    This hobby is excellent at sucking up my money - do I get a couple of new locos or do I get TC9 Gold, or do I stick with the limitations of iTrain - not an easy question.

    i have tried itrain and its not a patch on TC i did the wrong thing and bought the bronze version to save money but soon up graded to gold and never looked back

    you can do somme wonderful things in gold with variables etc take a look at my you tube channel overdene station i am just starting to use icar with the dynamo car system but i even find icar very useless as theres no english manual any just my thoughts

    do the right thing and go for gold

  4. Traincontroller 54: Stations.

    Traincontroller 9 has the option to work with Stations. A Station is a collection of blocks that we allocate to it. Once Stations are defined several new options are available. The video shows three:

    • A local Spontaneous-Run: the train will never run further away than one block from the station.
    • Autotrain-by-Drag-and-Drop now has Station Icons: a random train will leave from the Departure Station and will drive to a random lane in the Destination Station.
    • The number of trains in the Station is available for use in a Variable.

    There is more that can be done, please refer to the chapter about Stations in the Traincontroller 9 User Manual.

    Link to the video.

    Rudy have you got any bdl168s working with the digikiejes system please

  5. For some reason, while Bachmann sell their coach bogies as separate spares, the only freight bogie sold separately is the Y25 type, to the best of my knowledge. Quite why I know not, and when asked if they might consider making the diamond frame type available, I got a 'leave it with us' answer.

    If you want to go to Bachmann's parent, Kader, address in link below. Top man is Mr K Ting, (US educated so no language barrier).

    thanks for the help ill try and contact them

  6. I've been with TC Gold for some years now and I've just paid my 101 Euros for the upgrade to V9. I've always upgraded each time because I don't fancy a larger cost if I miss an upgrade or two. I reckon I've paid around £1000 over the years - but that's just a guess. Is it worth it? Well I think it is as it gives me a lot of pleasure and keeps the little grey cells active working out the infinite operational possibilities the software provides. But, that's just me - I can understand anyone reluctant to find the funds for a new licence!

    Overall I think I might prefer to pay an annual maintenance fee - a subscription if you like - to cover all upgrades going forward. It would be a chance as to whether it would be cheaper or not in the long run, you would never know really, but I reckon I'd take that chance as it would spread the cost (and I'm sure be beneficial for RR£Co's cash flow).

    I am thinking about writing to RR&Co to ask if they have considered this as a payment option but before I do I'd be interested if anyone has heard if this has been asked already, and if anyone else on here would consider that if the option was available. Interested to hear your views.

    Cheers ... Alan

  7. can the mmc dinamo car system be incorporated into train controller by using street

    if so can anyone shed some light on it please

    i was thinking of the faller car system until i saw this type where the cars dont crash and is computer controlled

    Thanks Alan

  8. i have a class 37 fitted with a loksound ver4 decoder (legobiffi) its brilliant but

    the top speed is very low i have a loksound programmer and im using an ECoS controller

    my cv's are as follows

    cv1 = my address

    cv2 = 2

    cv3 = 30

    cv4 = 30

    cv5 = 255

    i have 11 of these class 37s all with loksound ver4 deoders fitted but this one is very slow on top speed compared to the others

    is there another cv i can adjust to get a faster top speed

    thanks Alan
