  1. Great pics thanks for sharing those. I knew the footbridge was never there & has been added. I wonder where it came from?
  2. "Aidensfield Police House". The outside of the police house is not in Goathland, it was in a village called "Askwith", 70 miles from Goathland! If you want a Skaledale building to base this on then this has quite a likeness:
  3. Think this was the doctors surgery: Village hall used as the school? I have a pic of the police house from Heartbeat which I'll dig out. It is miles away from Goathland though
  4. "Dave" has been out & about again on the NYMR. Some useful shots here but there's also some footage of "Greengrass" farm at the end!
  5. Lol, sorry. I don't I'm afraid. When I went it didn't look like it was open for camping & I didn't want to intrude too much as the locals must get sick of it. However, I do have a Heartbeat book somewhere which I'll dig out & see if there's any decent pics in there which I'll scan if there are. I only drove down the drive, jumped out, took a couple of pics & cleared off!I do think the Hornby Home Farm Building is quite a good likeness though.
  6. That's looking really good, be interested to see some more shots of that as I'm going to build my own platforms eventually. It looks quite easy to work with? Was gonna use some old MDF I've got lying about but this might be an easier alternative. My own opinion on the station buildings, the Bachmann is the best but missed one of the extensions which is why I've stuck to the new Hornby. It's a real bind over the platforms with this though but the rear of the station is better. I haven't got the Bachmann but did have a good look when I went to TMC and I may well purchase at a later date & mix & match.
  7. Old one for me. Have both but the only good thing about the new one is the "Goathland" sign. It is tiny, I thought I'd brought n gauge when I opened mine!!!
  8. Crickey, you've done a good job with that. Fortunately the new Hornby already has those windows:Brought the Wills kit today, all of the Hornby/Bachmann Weighbridges I've seen come attached to a building which is a shame as they look very nice. Don't really like chopping up that resin stuff!! Not sure where the Hornby NER Weighbridge is based on?
  9. Just hit the local model shop for fences etc, might even have a go at building a cattle dock!
  10. Greengrass house Anyone got anything in mind for the Weighbridge outside the station?
  11. Really love this, it makes a great Greengrass abode! This is a set of buildings I wish I'd picked up years ago but never did. Fancy I may have to feed the MGB's (Money Grabbing B*****ds) on Ebay now Don't know if I've posted this before but I visited the Greengrass residence on my last visit, I'll repost the pics in a minute.
  12. Cheers for the info and also for the fantastic pics. I'll post some of mine as I progress!
  13. Hi Shaun and thanks for your reply. I'll look forward to seeing your repainted stonework although if I get anywhere near the results you have I'll be very happy! Your cattle dock is fantastic, think I'll bed using a kit or resin model, at least to start with anyway. Can I asked what the gates are that you've used either side of the barrow crossing at the ticket office end of the platform?
  14. Hi Shaun,I've finally started getting my version of "Goathland" underway, although having to use some modellers licence due to space constraints! Could I ask is your cattle dock scratch built or a kit/Skaledale type structure? Also, the colouring you've used on the platform walls & the beck, what colour is it? Many thanks,
  15. Thanks for doing that, happy days as I guessed at 6
  16. Thanks for doing that Jaz, can I be cheeky & ask what length the Goathland platforms are? I've looked on Google earth but on the iPad you don't seem to be able to measure?
  17. Hi,I've mainly got the grey and red brick front ones, but do have some Thomas (handy with the fence on!). Will probably use the grey & red brick ones as a base although I may build something of my own eventually. I'm hoping Hornby will do extensions to the pieces supplied with the new buildings! I'll use the slopes as per Goathland! Many thanks for helping, Mark
  18. From you clever calculations are you able to work out the length of the platforms or even better how many pieces of Hornby platform?
  19. Nice one, thanks for doing that. I'll look forward to your findings.
  20. I noticed it with the signal box too. When I opened the new one I had to double check I hadn't picked up an "n" gauge one by mistake, its tiny!
  21. Thanks Kal, that's interesting! Are you going to go for the more accurate one or the correct scale?
