    Until now I hadn't realised just how closely related an HR small Ben and an LSWR T9 truly were...

      They were built side by side in the same works at the same time!

      But, be careful, the superheated T9 is a closer match to the HR Big Bens, the boiler being too high for a small Ben. Theres lots of other lookie-likie HR locos too ;-}
