  1. Another on eBay @ £250+ ouch............

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OO-Gauge-Bachmann-32-775X-Class-37-0-37114-Dunrobin-Castle-Limited-Edit-BNIB/283232375609?hash=item41f1f71339:g:xasAAOSwF31b1Xnw:rk:3:pf:0

Perhaps if MMRG still have some to sell they could list them much cheaper than than that rip-off above....?

Daft, maybe when they're all sold out but not yet. mmrg exclusives.co.uk if you want one at standard RRP.

  2. Just a note to say, someone just paid £203 for a 37114 on eBay..we've still got some! So don't go totally bid crazy just yet.

The remaining models freed up by cancellations are now for sale on our newly completed fully secure website mmrgexclusives.co.uk with payment via PayPal, for the same price of £164.95. Everything else will be appearing on there in due course when we have time..including the online ordering for the next loco. We'll be putting a new thread up about that very soon, so keep a look out.

The aim is to keep the new site simple and uncluttered, easy to use for you as a customer and a lot quicker for us to process orders. It's a bit 'bare bones' atm with a lot more to add but take a look if you like..

  3. Hi all,

Collected my headlight fitted model from the Post Office earlier today. Lee has made a great job of the headlights, making an already fantastic model truly special. Even SWMBO was impressed when I showed her. Thanks to both Lee and Alex/Mickleover MRC.

Thanks, glad you like it! I removed the nose ends and sent them off to Lee to work on as it was easier, getting the nose ends off without damaging them and fitting back on perfectly is another story. I've got it sussed now after many a 37 over the years..

    Thanks, enjoy it.

  4. Hi folks,

We have locos spare due to cancellations, if anyone wants one drop me a message. Anything left over will appear on eBay (+15%) or appear as show stock for exhibitions etc if we still have any left.

Thanks for your overwhelming positive comments and feedback, we've only had five returns which says a lot on the quality control front I think, and they are all repairable.

37114 has been a success, thank you!

Ps; if you have ordered a loco and not heard from us, please get in touch with me on here. As I won't be chasing orders more than once by phone/text or email. Plus several people have supplied incorrect phone numbers and email addresses, so we physically can't get in touch with those people. After a week or so without a response, I will cancel the order and release the loco/s for general sale. But please tell me if you don't want it as it makes life easier.

  5. Nice work Lee. For those asking about weathered locos, some people are assuming that we have a quantity of weathered ones 'ready to go' as it were, this isn't the case as any order for a weathered/customised loco is handled privately by me. Hence the delay in sending these ones out. I'm working through them in between other jobs, namely my work with Bachmann and the small matter of sending out several hundred other 37114s..! They will ALL be done by the end of October at the latest, I've done about 7 this week but tomorrow and the entire weekend are taken up by the club show, so weathering work will resume again on Monday. Just an update for those who want to know.

Also due to several cancellations we have a number of locos available for sale at this moment in time. Message me if you want one. Equally if anyone hasn't heard from us at all regarding their order, message me as that'll mean our means of contact for you hasn't worked.

    Thanks for your patience!

  6. Still waiting to receive my weathered version.... all paid for as soon as got the email back in August. Received an unweathered model which looked fantastic when checked without removing fully from the packaging. Sent the incorrect version back and now just waiting for the correct one to turn up.  Fingers crossed not too much longer to wait now.

Have any weathered versions been sent yet?

Yes, getting through them. I've had about 40 to do so it's taking time, bespoke weathering as opposed to the usual slap dash rubbish so timescales are according. if you've ordered a weathered version you'll have my mobile for contact anyway.

  7. It is weird, it continues under the number and you can feel it when you run your fingers over it.

The number looks to have been printed on top of the scratch

Lovely printing overall though, including the Data panels and shedcodes.

The second one I bought was planned to become 37025, though it’s just been announced, so i’m now thinking what to do it as, researching my ED options as a Scottie dog would be nice... nice pics of 081 out there if Railtec can do the unusual number font, though it doesn’t have the highland rail stag... I’m looking for ideas.

37111 Loch Eil Outward bound. Correct flush roof

  8. Just to confirm, my two are here, however one of them isn’t well..attachicon.gif70B08365-CC90-4A42-B978-5C079864BD52.jpeg

Otherwise, it’s a very good model, here’s a few close ups of the good one, which will head to Lees Locos shortly for a headlamp.

    Note the Fuel tank levels

Glad you like them. Weird scratch there, drop me your number by PM and I'll sort you out with a spare body when they're available.

  9. Sorry if I'm regurgitating an old subject that has been done to death..but I've just bought my first class 73 and genuinely haven't got time to go through 75 pages of topic! I have 73101 The Royal Alex, which is DCC fitted with a gaugemaster decoder. I was expecting the issue with the backwards lighting which I can fix, but the problem is that it runs terribly in one direction. Pulses and stops and goes, stops and goes, and it gets more violent when you increase power. This isn't a pickup issue as it runs fine in the other direction. So..

    1. Has Dapol released a revised circuit board as a spare part yet? Free or to purchase.

    2. Is the bad running in one direction a result of a duff circuit board/known fault?

    3. Duff decoder..

  10. Mine turned up just in time for electrification :)

I meantime I will be ordering one of Lee's Highland Headlamp kits and adding sound and weathering to make the The Best Bachmann Beastie By Far

Alex and the lads at MMRG have done a splendid job getting this out and I appreciate all the hard work they have and are still doing getting the orders out in a timely manner, no mean task. Cheers guy's

In the unlikely event the wife reads this 37026 Loch Awe would be nice too.

Fantastic thank you. Great to hear! Alex

  11. Afternoon.

Can someone please confirm that the orders are being processed in order that were received. I ask because a friend has already received his and he ordered his before me. I did receive both emails regarding the new data protection.

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

If he ordered his before you then yes the system is working! If you haven't had the worldpay email in a couple of weeks, message me and I'll give you bacs details. A lot of the worldpay emails aren't getting through and I'm having to manually call the customers. So either way nobody will be missed unless they don't pick up the phone after a few attempts. Message me your details if you want and I'll check the order is present.

Another 100 ish have gone this week!

    Alex

  12. Paid last, Thursday, still waiting on conformation of delivery etc.

    Regards Jeff

    Hi Jeff

I can confirm that payment was advised to us Friday. As far as I know about 70 boxes went in the post using Royal Mail on Monday or Tuesday and so one of those should be with you before the end of the week.

    .

It'll be in this weeks batch. The aim is one week from payment to posting, hopefully a few days but the worst scenario was a couple of weeks at the outset which won't happen again. I've sent about 30 today, and 70 something on monday and tuesday. I saw a Jeff in those.

Going well now, still a learning curve.

  13. I got home from holiday yesterday to a bit of a surprise! My neighbour had both my 37114's at their house waiting for me. Surprise because i'd emailed and had it confirmed that my two models would be held until I got back from holiday so that they weren't stuck in a delivery van or thrown about a sorting office or sent back! Luckily they were both undamaged but going on the "we tried to deliver cards" on the carpet they had been out 3 times before being delivered to a neighbour.

Love the models and one of them will hopefully eventually become 37111

Messaged you. At last you got them ok.

  14. One of my fellow club members received his Dunrobin Castle in time for our show last weekend.   Mine arrived on Tuesday (28th).  One small teething trouble, it was prone to stalling on points at slow speeds, then I discovered one of the pick ups was not making contact and it was easily put right and now runs beautifully.

    Dunrobin Castle arrived today, Fantastic

Email swiftly sent for Loch Awe too

    Great job folks

The joys of mass production.. as you say easily fixed. I usually do this on everything i get.

Thanks for the good feedback chaps, great to hear. So far I've had one loco returned with a broken buffer. I have spares so if anyone else has this message me with your address and I'll send you new ones. Or as per several customers I know, hope them all off and replace with a set of nice Hornby class 50 buffers off ebay! I do this on my locos too. Only about £7.

Just labelled up another 70 locos for dispatch monday.
