  1. Thats enough potatoes for four people on an otherwise reasonable meal ,mark you the Germans do eat large meals.
  2. I have used a shed for the last ten years and am very happy with it I had it built by a very good local man who is still business which is a very good sign. always look long and hard at local suppliers as you can often get a good deal . Make sure that you have good ground cleara nce and that the roofing is good quality and it will last pluss keep it painted every year.TDo this and you will have a wonderful site for your layout and a place to escape the world .I hope you will have a lot of fun when you build your next layout and look forward to seeing it.
  3. Hs2 has generated a great deal of rubbish usually promoted by people who know nothing about rail matters locally we have had s groups making a nuisance of themselves and thanks to them we are seeing various consrtuctions that are not required .Many people think that any railway work should be put in tunnells whilst thinking new roads should be have no restrictions well if they to be believed this is best for us all. In the future I think that public transport will be the way to travel and the private car will be of little use . Enough of this the new bridge on the A413 is a very good bit of construction the road layout is improved and when the trees etc are completed this will be a very good addition to our neighbourhood .
  4. Unfortunately this country has no ability to complete any project without making a complete mess of it by many means which grow on each new contract with certanty the blame is passed to someone else.
  5. Went into Wendover from Butlers Cross the track bed is being carved out adjacent to Wendover Station this is going to be covered in and will probably be grassed over , what a waste of money. The trackbed which goes under the road is still a high mass of chalk not sure when this is going to be sorted out as the other side is a level area that goes to the new bridge that takes track onto tunnels towards Amersham . Progress is very good all through our area the new bridge and road going towards Thame is a very good example of the new railway and I hope I will see trains running.
  6. Thanks Chris
  7. Kevin those pens look very interesting what make are they and which shop are they for sale , very interested in them for rail painting .Chris in Aylesbury
  8. Thanks for a tour of your layout it really has come on very well and you can operate it with pleasure I like your rolling stock which sets the era perfectly , thanks again look forward to next episode.
  9. You will recieve a visit from some gentlemen in blue
  10. Today I had a drive over the new bridge on the A418 just outside of Aylesbury ,firstly it was a pleasure to drive on a road with no potholes , the area beside the area is looking good and when the trees are planted it will be a very pleaseant part of the world. The wall around Hartwell Estate is easily seen now and is a very fine bit of work ,a cycle / footpath is in place and will be used well by folks ,all in all this is a very good piece of work and it will be interesting to see the rail line carved out underneath the bridge . This section is going to be quite a deep cutting I think but we will see soon ,all in all this rail line has been worth watching during the build.
  11. Our town like many others has not expanded services or roads its got to stop
  12. Thanks for an informative video this is just half a mile from me and I have watched listened to this project as it has progressed ,it is a very good project as is HS2 thanks.
  13. Thanks for the continued coverage of the line to Southend it brings back many happy memories of time spent at South Benfleet watching trains and riding them it is a very interesting line .When I first went there in the forties steam was king and I remember when the electrics came upon the scene , thanks for the memory.
