The 14XX is indeed a K's kit, but has various extra bits, such as a turned brass smokebox door, turned brass buffers and other additional details. It used to run in OO on the original K's chassis, but it's actually one of only two of my OO locos that I have converted to P4, so it's now got a Perseverence chassis, Ultrascale driving wheels and a Mashima motor with High Level gearbox.

Thank you for that, very useful. I remember building K's kits back in the early 70s and thinking what dogs the chassis were. Although the weight of the castings meant that one didnt't need to add any extra weight!

Very nice job. I can remember building an old K's Terrier back, goodness knows when, thing ran like a dog! Got rid of it in the end.

This is a nice addition to the layout. What make is the 14xx? Looks to be a K's.
