I need to do a rant!! Just got a DJH Claughton running really well then the DJH gearbox stripped a thread on a nylon bearing!

  That's very annoying. A similar thing happened to me a few years ago involving a High Level gearbox in my Gibson 7F, I had to replace the nylon gear in situ...

  Thanks for the support! I don't really like nylon gears. I am going to replace it with a good old fashioned Branchlines multi box. Big chunky metal gears!

Having to repair my layout for an exhibition this weekend. I always find working on an older project sheer hard work - Am I alone on this?

  It's why documentation all the way is particularly useful - like the time I used a 100 metre reel of red wire for everything, and accidently connected the points CDU to the control panel and enjoyed the sight and sound of 40 LED's simultaneously exploding when I applied power...
