May I also ask what printer you are using to produce the coaches please ? G

G Hello G thanks for your kind words chap, i'm using the Anycubic Mono X for these larger 4 wheel coaches, but hoping to try out my new Phrozen Mega for the slightly larger 6 wheel coaches so will hopefully post some updates on those next year all being well Cheers Rob
bgman
Hello Rob, I appreciate your quick response thank you. The Anycubic Mono X is one which I have been seriously considering for a while and if there aren't any upgrades likely soon then I would probably purchase one for my 7mm work. Being a total novice at these black arts I used a simpler 3D software. Tinkercad, for my first attempt at a wagon body in 4mm for a friend which was kindly done by another friend for me on his machine. Having draw it out and printed I am now encouraged to carry on. Once again thank you for the information. Kind regards G

Do you know if they just worked on the Cheshire lines or strayed down to the Southern end of the GC? Hello Andy, hope you are feeling ok? I'm not entirely sure if they did, im sure someone on here will have the answer to that question. Though interestingly looking at a photo of an Ex MS&L Stores Brake van originally a Composite Luggage van in Tatlows Volume One of LNER Wagons these CLC coaches are almost identical to those used on the GCR, and and LNER and even works vans in BR days. The only difference is the beading at the end of the carriages is squared off, unlike these that follow the roof line, that and the addition of Torpedo Vents on the roof. So I may do a variation to sort that as well as would make sense! I also intend to model some LD&ECR 6 wheelers Linny kindly sent me drawings of, which would have run on the GCR. I should mention I have had to take liberties with the axle boxes and used GCR ones as I haven't been able to find any photographic evidence of these carriages what so ever.

Just ‘a bit of a sniffle’ for a couple of days and I’m self isolating from the family in the loft so plenty of time to play trains!

I'm not entirely sure, I have seen someone paint one model one of these coaches in Southern Green. I suspect a lot of them went to light railways around the country. woko
Finally gotten round to firing up the Phrozen Mega 8K and had a go at printing my first GER 6 wheeled Luggage composite coach here in 7mm, it is just primed, and placed together for present, along with some GER 4 wheelers in 7mm to accompany her! She needs some refining going forward and hope to iron out those kinks as I get more used to using this machine. I haven't included the detail parts here but will show them as the build comes along! Next up all being well is a 7mm GER Clerestory 6 wheeled Brake if I can get it to print. PS Cat is real and not 3d printed!!! 9

woko
Second stage in the Mike Trice excellent guide to teaking, base coating the models, prior to the oil pass. 7
woko
Third stage of teaking on this six wheeler. Still only placed together, and not yet fixed. I need to add glazing, and interior seats, along with additional weathering of the teak so it doesn’t feel so brand new. Im also wondering whether to paint the roof grey up to the weather stripping, as according to the GER society they sometimes did this on coach roofs! Obviously also need to add wheels as well, and weather the metal to feel more metal like.
richard i
Whole roof would quickly go grey. So should be painted to reflect the condition you chose to do the sides in for a natural weathered look. richard

woko
Really impressed with this Phrozen printer, the quality of printing is really solid, even if it does take 32hrs per coach! GER 6 wheeled clerestory in 7mm 9
