Hey all, I'm a modeler from Los Angeles, California in America but I've really had a strong interest in British locos and have already engrossed myself in UK Railways. 

I'm an electrical technician who got back into the hobby a few years ago, and with my electrical skill I like to purchase non-running locos and repair them. I've already imported and fixed a number of British locos and that trend doesn't look to end anytime soon. Probably going to ask a lot of technical and servicing questions (In addition to frequenting the bargain hunters thread!). I don't take things too seriously, may get banned making fun of those who do!

It sounds to me like you could teach some of us a few things, bravo on what you’ve already done.

You may well already know but there are several British online retailers who specialise in secondhand goods and will happily ship abroad, these days it’s easier to ship to the USA than Europe.

Try Hattons, Contikits, Anoraks Anonymous*, Arcadia Models, Shaw*, Rails of Sheffield or even UKmodelshops.com

* an email query of available stock would be best.

 I see you also appear to like your own local equipment too - I highly approve as I personally prefer US and European H0, we’re all different!

I've bought 2nd hand from Clark Railworks about 6 times and all ok (no connection other than a customer).  I don't know for certain he ships abroad, you'd have to ask, but has has non-UK stuff as well as Bristish.

Thanks guys, you can probably guess I've already shipped a few trunks of models from Hattons, in addition to getting some new products from Kernow (no VAT is nice). About to ship another Hattons trunk with more projects to tackle.
