RPNaylor0301
Looking for spare light lenses / light guide / cab / buffer beams / bogie frames (14) for a ViTrains Class 47. If you've got anything to shift let me know, happy to discuss terms. Based in Derby if you'd prefer to deal in cash but otherwise PayPal etc all fine. wagontrain
Hi there, don't happen to know where I can get a new twin flywheel motor for a vi-trains 47 ? or some other make that fits....
Bill Radford
The twin flywheel motors are pretty standard across all the manufacturers. I have recently re-motored a Dapol 68 with a Bachmann motor and a Bachmann 220 with a Hornby Class 801 motor. The lengths of the cardan shafts can be ajusted by use of brass or aluminium tubing. Only thing of note is that Hornby use dfferent type of ends to their cardan shafts, so they had to be purchased as well. Check out Peter's Spares or Bachmann's own spares site which is much improved - at a guess a Bachmann 47, 57 or 66 motor will be much the same size.
