Good Afternoon everyone,

Having found a box of toy vehicles c 1980-5 that belonged to our sons as boys, I have been finding new homes for them, but one is a bit of a mystery!

It is a large scale (1/43 or 1/32?) 1980s box van made by Corgi and decorated for Thornton's chocolates.

There is no model no. or scale on it just "Corgi" (see attached photo)

Any info on this would be appreciated!

Thanks

Paul.

This is about 1/50 scale - I say "about" because it's a bit of a caricature of a Ford Cargo. The wheelarch shape is completely wrong, and some of the proportions have been exaggerated. It was part of the 'toy' range of simpler, less-detailed vehicles aimed at the younger market, or in this case, the cheaper gift shop/promotional market. There was also a Mercedes lorry in the range, based on the same chassis and rather more realistic than this Ford.
