The High Wycombe and District Model Railway Society have commissioned a 7 plank Private Owner coal wagon from Dapol Limited in the livery of local Loudwater based coal and coke merchant J .J Saunders Ltd. The yard of J.J Saunders, used both for the distribution and storage of coal and coke and also home to their delivery vehicles, was located in Station Road, Loudwater, nr High Wycombe, where the proprietor also lived in a large detached dwelling. Loudwater station itself was located on the GWR branchline from High Wycombe to Maidenhead. Although the company no longer exists and no photographic records have been found, it is known from records of wagon ownership held by Longmoor publishers, that J.J Saunders had one or more private owner wagons. The model is based on the latest 4mm scale, 00 gauge, Dapol 7 plank body on a 9 foot wheelbase under frame and is priced at £14.50 (post and packing charges will apply).
