RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted June 15, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 15, 2018 Hi everyone, Here is the CAD for the next Irish Railway Models model; the CIE Fertiliser wagon. These will be sold in packs of two with loads included (one pallet high per middle bays as per the prototype, not the two in this pic) with price, livery and delivery to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Once these are confirmed preordering will open! We are also looking to sell the pallet loads as a separate accessory item too if the demand is there. Cheers! MGR Hooper!
That looks stunningly detailed as are your other wagons. Edited June 15, 2018 by MGR Hooper!
NoelG
Nice looking wagon. Like the way the roof profile of the prototype matched the 071 class locos. A bit of a stretch, but just wondering if any of the doors will open?
RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted June 18, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2018 Nice looking wagon. Like the way the roof profile of the prototype matched the 071 class locos. A bit of a stretch, but just wondering if any of the doors will open? That would be fun - but having a working locking bar might stretch the boys a bit ! Next thing we will want is the autonomous forklift depot pack- with sound of course ... I will get my donkey jacket and hard hat ...!
RMweb Gold Patrick Posted June 18, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2018 Nice looking wagon. Like the way the roof profile of the prototype matched the 071 class locos. A bit of a stretch, but just wondering if any of the doors will open? We'd love to have operating doors, but that would involve compromising the visual fidelity of the models, so unfortunately it won't be a feature. That looks stunningly detailed as are your other wagons. Thanks for your kind words. We do our best!
RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted June 18, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2018 Ha At last the chance to wield the nano tools ! I imagine the opening doors apart from having over scale hinges and catches would then have even weaker sides - everything has a practical limit. Great job regardless looking forward , even if wallet is not, the forthcoming chance to buy 6. Robert
Irish_R_M
Heh, I have designed it so that the bodgers amongst us can remove the door assembly, the locking bars, clip off the cosmetic poles, micro drill the bits, insert some brass rod, and make a poseable door for a diorama. Go wield those tools Rob! RM
RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted July 12, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 12, 2018 Hi everyone, We have updated the CAD on the fert to show it empty and to include the centre beams in the middle two bays as per prototype. We will have prices, running numbers and open the order books on these very shortly! Cheers, Fran
Sails
Looking forward to these more than the Tara mines wagons, at least you could see these back in the day in old Barracks Street, Dundalk.
