Edwin_m
Rock Ferry?
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted December 27, 2010 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2010 Afraid not Edwin, Rock Ferry had a standard BR frame, notice the size of the complete frame, about 3 feet across. The box closed in 1977 and was a busy place. It's alternate name was Cabin D
Edwin_m
That's about the limit of my knowledge of signalling in (or somewhere near) the Wirral area, so I'll hope someone else can step in!
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted December 27, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2010 My knowledge of that area is inferior to Edwin's, but a backboard like that is unfamiliar in concept anyway - I'm used to levers with their description on the plate, or, where it's a power frame, signal indications being where this backboard obviously goes. I assume it's like this at Southport, which is a Westinghouse Type B? http://www.wbsframe.mste.co.uk/public/Southport_Chapel_Street.html
Rivercider
Excuse me if I have the wrong end of the stick here, but, Paradise Junction ?
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted December 27, 2010 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2010 Wasn't intending making it a quiz but RiverCider is closest - Paradise (Street) Junction is a new junction post loop/link, originally controlled by James Street PSB (opened 1977) and now by Sandhills. This original location was altered in the late 1970s, it's now only half the location it was
