Looks like another good Uckfield show. Nice mix of quality layouts.

Will look forward to seeing Plumpton Green!

It will be Plumpton Green's third outing - Barry brought it along to the Scalefour Society's AGM on the 21 June and exhibited it at the Bluebell Railway's Model Railway Weekend on the 28/29 June.

More information about the layout's construction can be found at http://www.lbscrmodels.co.uk/  - and clicking on the "Layouts" button.

Guest demonstrator's this year include Roger Sawyer who will be running a "hands-on" soldering demonstration and Cat Gibbs will be showing how to modify and paint model figures.

As well as manning part of the demonstration stand the 7mm modeller's within the Club will be bringing one of the layout boards from their current project for visitors to have a look at.

Just back from setting up the halls - just a couple of layouts and members of the trade to arrive.

Just thought I would post a picture of one of the layouts that you can see over the weekend - Herstmonceux (00).

The show seemed very well attended today; we had a good crowd "out front" to entertain almost all day, with a light lull at lunchtime and quietening after 4.30. A good location was given to us in the green room with our back to the window affording a welcome breeze when the wind blew. Operations seemed to go well... oh, and we were kept well fed and coffee'd... thanks for that. Looking forward to another day on my feet tomorrow repeating operations with Terry and Simon

Agree here that it's a very good show. The podiums the Uckfield club have set up in front of a number of the layouts have had plenty of use by the younger visitors.

We had a few interesting comments saying that our layout was Japanese!!

Some one else said that they never realised that the USA had railways. I suppose he had a point as they are railroads!!!

Must get round to having a good look at the superb layouts on show tomorrow.

Looks like I might be a busy (but happy) little chap LOL

you looked like you were having fun with the working gantry on Wenford this afternoon Kevin  It was good to talk with you.  Some very good layouts on display again.

In my defence John did say that the new filament cable on the gantry hadn't fully settled down yet. That gantry when it is running is an absolute joy, but boy is it difficult to get right first time out, clearly I need more practice in the dark arts :training: :read:

It was another good show, managed to catch up with a couple of old faces (Colin W, Queensquare & Kim and Jon020), met some new faces (Roundhouse and Mrs Roundhouse) and had fun with a couple of very tasty layouts (Tucking Mill and Wendfordbridge Goods Depot).

I must express my deepest thanks to Jerry Clifford and John Greenwood for letting me loose with their pride and joys.

Thanks Daniel

Thanks for posting the video Daniel... looks like there was so much I missed... but then that looks like some of my driving between 9 and 11 minutes in there... so we were quite busy ;-)

Cheers
