The Devil Incarnate?

I discovered today that New Hey and myself have been outed as a threat to the nations, and railway modellers in particular, morals rolleyes.gif

One of the best investigative tools we have ever had is the intranet - its amazing what incriminating things people stick down on it! My colleague and I were doing a bit of experimentation with various search engines using each other as examples when he called me across to look at a web page which featured me !

Now to put this into context I was aware on RM web 3, just before Manchester there was a bit of a "to do" about a picture of a model i'd made to go in the gents urinal at New hey ( ADULT IMAGE WARNING - IF EASILY OFFENDED DON'T OPEN)

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5181&start=500

Mr Pilotfriend obviously wrote something which got moderated a few times and resulted in a bit of hassle to Andy Y. As Id not seen his posting before they got chopped I did a Jeremy Thorpe (old enough to remember him?) and turned the other cheek at the time, particularly as i suspected some personal grievance on his part - I had told him fairly forthrightly we didnt want County Gate at Manchester (very valid reasons, trust me!). I knew Mr P had persisted on other forums on this issue and had taken a bit of a slapping down for being small minded, but this one is on his site.

Laugh? Ive been wetting myself ever since, to quote Frankie Howerd "Infamy, Infamy, they have all got it in for me" I realise now that I should have been more conscious of diversity and said that it would " make the girls and boys eyes water a bit" and apologise for that omission.

I suppose it's a measure of the fear within today's society that any humourless look@me' can pick an item as innocent as this off the web and feed it to the hyena's. Someone is happy though as it deflects attention away from the things that matter.cool.gif

Oh dear, a proper toys of out the pram moment, I'd seen the posts at the time and thought it a little over sensative. Now it seems like a full blown assault on your moral standards, I would have thought the shameless quote well enough known for it not to be taken that seriously, then again perhaps not. Anyway I'm off before I get corrupted.biggrin.gif

An example of the fear I mentioned is, typing in 'Cock your hat' in Google and find yourself facing a warning that you are entering adult content!

I was amused to see a photo of a couple horizontal jogging in the very article where he purports to find this kind of cameo puerile! Anyone reported him to his ISP for posting erotic images?

It's good to see you are taking it seriously.

First time in the blogs, fellahs. Anyway, followed Andy's link to his website with Mary Whitehouse (deceased?) at the top, read it all the way down and then spotted two Ads by Google at the bottom.

One was for knuckledusters and the other for a police style baton. I nearly emulated the model for the bog without a stream ( I didn't want to make matters worse by saying I p****d myself)!!!

Priceless!! I wonder what the 'furious mum and deeply offended children' would make of that on a model railway site.

how sad that times have descended to this level when some one is trying to cheer people up with a light hearted cameo is being pilloried,i just think we are too "P,C" today, like i say how sad.

Hey I've actually looked at a blog (well this is about the third) and came across this trail of amusement amd amazement. At the time on RMWeb 3 I thought the whole thing so incredibly childish that I just bit my tongue as I was bound to have said something fairly waspish if I had joined in once it was starting to go too far.

This lot really is good for a laugh as there is far too little genuine lavatory humour around in today's PC type world. And I note the current ads below his 'appeal' are for body armour  .

Couldn't see whether you'd used brass or phosphor bronze to represent the stream of flowing gold and what swg would be appropriate (sorry P4 modellers need to get it all right)...

...not that I usually need a magnifying glass in this regard you understand.

I'll get my coat.

For the curious, or those who also wish to follow suit and incur the wrath of the Rolling Riot, I actualy used a dog hair off our youngest border collie, Floyd.

Andrew - you will be able to pick up some supplies (of dog hairs) at Rochdale!!
