That DMS again

Back to finishing off that DMS bus. Bernie Taylor (TPM) is hopefully going to produce etched window sliding vents and replacement doors (two part glider doors as well as the original four part folding ones). They will certainly help Anglicise it and make it look a lot better. And as I've got more of the KMB busses on order to convert they will certainly aid the production line. Fingers crossed they get produced, and soon.

I've had to make up fictitious side and front adverts for this sample as I don't know of any suitable decals - unless you know better. And I still need to add the white LT roundels. Ideally I'd like to use transfers - so again if anyone knows of any that are commercially available in 2mm scale - otherwise I'm going to have to hand paint them again........

Don't know if this'll be of any help, LT buses aren't really my strongpoint, but Mabex list the following 'N' gauge LT fleetnames transfers,

18a Underlined gold

18b Plain block

18c Bullseye white motif

18d 1990 London Buses style

18e Bullseye white, later outlineversion of c

Are c and e the roundel type thing? All apparently prefixed MB/FN in their catalogue, priced at 80p per pair plus p and p. Always found Mabex pretty good to deal with, normally by return of post and you can return them if not ok.

Cheers, Mark.

Mabex also do advert transfers, though their 4mm range was always much larger - must get a new catalogue! For your circa 1990ish period you would probably want d, the London Buses roundel. IIRC this was a sort of beige and red affair in the same overall shape. At around the same time a mid-grey band near the base was being introduced.

Thanks for that. I've written out an order, including for a catalogue, and will post it tomorrow.
