More 73, stuff and MCA erm .. stuff

Following all the positive and encouraging comments on my Last blog post, thought id share some more pictures of 73118. the Mechanism is the Standard Lima motor, now although I am aware that the Lima Motor connected up to DCC is a good performer, Im in doubt as to wheter it will be powerful enoughto actually Haul much, even though the Real 73118 never really hauled failed eurostars much in its career.

Any Suggestions?

Also the MCAs have had the hurst models etched handbrake wheels added, which look much better than the Dapol orginals, as well as some weathering which finnishes off these wagons nicely!

The work is straight forward if you have pictures that show all of the underframe components, just mainly time consuming!

ive already primed the couplings as mentioned ,and will add filler etc and redo some details also!

even in just primer the couplnigs I am indeed pleased with, as a slight bit of confidence ( sorry thats usually my excuse  ), I was unsure if i was up to the challenege to do the couplnigs, but I guess they are with patience not out of reach to do ..

I will definatley be modellnig more 73s after this project has been done as Ive really grown more to the class! no to say I didn't like them in the first place though ;)

Now a silly question here, but I have a set of A1 models 73/0 "Kicksteps", are they the boards that are immediately next to the footstep boards does anyone know???
