Last night although not included in the previous entry I gave the sector plate a coat of paint along with the track sections leading to it. As a test I plan to paint these track section rails with humbrol "steel" add some chairs and then ballast. But Ill see what that looks like before sharing pictures !

:)

This next picture gives an indication of the available room for the scenic section in front of the sector plate

Tonight, despite planning a trip to the shed I found myself resident at the dinning room table due to it being a bit chilly in the shed !

Some more painting, replacement door hand rails, extra tools and bits in the cab, a storage box on the side of the loco

Box construction pre painting with my favourite "sleeper grime"

My 16 year old was sharing the table doing her art homework, so she got the job of painting the oil can, chain and water can :)

Hi John, been following this with interest, what a great loco it is turning out to be. Very tempting!

Very impressed by how that box looks like real wood. What brand of sleeper grime is it please?

Its "Railmatch" in a small glass jar, diluted with white spirit and applied in a couple of coats to get the different shades

Ok many thanks John, that's another good little tip from your blog. Now I just have to try and forget the idea of LGB again :D
