The orginal building on which the model is based is actually 4 stories high, and I'm gald I cut it down by one, otherwise I think it might have been too imposing in it's surroundings. It would have also meant more window frames to make.....!

I haven't quite decided what to do about interior yet. On a few of the windows I have tried gluing photos behind but I'm not sure whether I'm happy with that as a solution yet.

That looks very nice Tom, a typical modern residential development.:icon_thumbsup2:

As I commented on your photo itself this has come on very quickly and is very effective - lovely! How did you do the windows? As for an interior when you look at buildings in real life you can't very easily see inside so I'd suggest using photos but really adjusted on Photoshop to have a low contrast and make them really dark. That way the eye might be fooled. You could do a few with blinds shut too, or venitian blinds (so you can't see through the gaps) and others just totally black.

Hello Tom.

As with the other bits previously this one also looks really good. The whole thing looks really well made.

Very nice indeed Tom.

As you pointed out, buildings like this can spring up very quickly in real life too, maybe there could be the beginnings of a new block in a clearing next to your existing building, with a truck delivering a pre cast concrete staircase, something like that.

(Modern technology is a wonderful thing... real time updates from a network of desks around the world.. some of them even have the same mousemat :P ... small world!)

James, the window frames are may with mirco strip fixed directly onto the clear plastic structure that makes up the shell of the building. It's a bit laborious but gives you good straight edges.

Will, that's not a bad idea!

Cheers all,

Tom.
