BRWC type2...

From a thirty quid pile of bits a pheonix arises...the real thing looks less streaky, I reckon a little weathering powder work could finish the body work, along with some brass strip lamp irons and etched windscreen wipers...

the chassis is next when I get my hands on the drawings I am waiting for, new chassis cross members for the bogie fronts and new cab steps are on the list. The springs have been moved back and some pipework has been added from fusewire...

Not a bad find - Heljan 33 at Lima prices

But as Bob notes, I thought you'd found the true path of the ScR ;)

Interested in how you close off the bogie fronts, the gaping hole there on my 27s isn't very pretty but I've not made any effort into doing anything about it.

my mistake... never understood the southern region...

Most of the 70's livery locos I have collected I am trying to detail and weather subtley. All will have been seen (or the class/subclass) at Bristol Bath Road Shed 1976-1986

umm its Heljan...so far a new set of central windows have been added, and I have had to replace a bogie side.

To fill one bogie end I have ordered a spare set of bogie mouldings so i can rob the inside end, giving me a section of moulded plastic that should fit perfectly (its still on my desk waiting for me to mount the aws? sender on it...depending on how this turns out, I will either do the same or scratch up an end piece from plasticard.
