getting there - removing ballast

Hello :)

It was a job I was NOT looking forward to but its done now. I have managed to remove all the ballast on the board.

It took a while to do it but chipping away at it with a flat bladed screwdriver seemed to work. There a a couple of pieces of track that need to be stuck down again and then the whole lot needs repainting but otherwise Im glad that bit is over.

WoW - Impressive that you did that Missy - I take it you didn't want to go down the 'try and rescue it with the airbrush' route then? Pete

I'm just guessing, but I don't think that you're treating the tagging system as seriously as you might.

Hello Guys smile.gif

Thank you. Im glad its done now, the track is all painted and ready for the new ballast. This time I am being more careful and testing the ballasts I have collected to make sure I use the right one! The real weird thing is that the ballat I used on the first board according to the label is exactly the same stuff! The problem I am having at the moment is that on the first board I spent quite a bit of time with different colour washes, drybrushing, and weathering powders I am having trouble remembering what I exactly did to it so to repeat it on the second board blink.gif

P.S. Jim, no I am not tongue.gif although there is a tenuous link there.
